Donna Wandrey

Donna Wandrey was born in Chicago, Illinois. Her birthdate is May 11th. At the age of five, she was inspired to become a performer while attending a performance in the Goodman Theatre watching her aunt, who was also her godmother, on stage. Donna attended Northwestern University with a dual major in theater arts and also arts and dance.

A knee injury kept Donna from pursuing her initial passion to dance. It was then she focued on an acting career and continued her studies at the prestigious H/B Studios in New York City.

Besides the short stint on Dark Shadows, Donna's daytime credits include As the World Turns, Another World, Ryan's Hope, Edge of Night, and the Emmy winning Umbrella Jack episode of the ABC Aftershool Special.

In addition to her on-screen roles, Donna's resume includes over 300 voice-over assignments for television, radio, and industrial commercials. Amongst the names she has voiced promotions for are AT&T, Thomas English Muffins, Johnson's Baby Shampoo, Post Cereals, Lipton Soups,Sears, Polaroid, Chef-Boy-Ar-Dee, and Domino Sugar.

Donna's many stage appearences include roles in Moon over Buffalo, Lettuce and Lovage, Charley's Aunt, Move Over Mrs. Markham, Mary, Mary, A Thousand Clowns, Barefoot in the Park, Come Blow Your Horn, A Majority of One, Design for Living, Impossible Years, The Lion in Winter, Arsenic and Old Lace, Cactus Flower, Everyone Loves Opal, Lullaby, Don't Drink the Water, You Can't Take it with You, The Brownstone Urge and a Broadway role in Norman Conquests.

Today Donna resides in New York City and continues to practice in the profession. Her current projects include a Showboat Hotel & Casino commercial and a Monty Diamond film, Peroxide Passion.

In 2003, Donna revisited Dark Shadows in the Return to Collinwood reunion audio play. She played Mrs Franklin, Collinwood's waspish new housekeeper.
